About me
I was born in 1995 in Mobile, Al where I lived for three and a half years before moving to my home in Decatur, Al. Soon after moving, my sister Emma was born. Growing up I spent most of my time building Legos, fishing, and playing with fire while camping with my family. In middle and high school I began to apply my mind to problem solving and design by participating in ACTE and BEST robotics competitions. It was here that I realized engineering was the way for me to do something I enjoy as a career. Auburn was the only college I applied to, because I knew this was where I wanted to get my education. My grandad attended Auburn when it was still referred to as Alabama Polytechnic Institute and my parents met each other while they were students here, so Auburn has always been like home to me.
As of this fall, I am classified as a junior in Electrical Engineering. I have greatly enjoyed my first two years here, through all its highs and lows. I had the privledge to play trombone in the Auburn University Marching Band my freshman year, and I just finished my first co-op semester this summer working as a controls engineer for Honda Lock, a supplier of keysets and door handles for Honda motors.
At this point, I am uncertain about my future after graduation. I have an interest in the field of renewable energy as well as the automotive industry, so I'm unsure about which path i'll take.
